Would you take the chance?
Hey Missouri brides and grooms. Chat here about the best tips, Knottie GTGs, and wedding planning in your area.
I really, really want an outside wedding, but the weather can be so unpredictable. Would you take the chances to have the ceremony outside? Or should I have it in the same place as the reception? TIA.

We had an outdoor ceremony on May 21st 2011. It was a down poor the day before, we had prepared ourselves that if it did rain we would just do it at the reception venue. Luckily it was beautiful the day of the wedding, but then it rained for almost a week straight starting the next day!
My cousin got married in Sept and had an outdorr wedding, it drizzled all day the day of her ewedding, made pictures outside difficult but the got them done. However it broke and stopped raining about 15 mintues before the ceremony, the ushers and Gm were outside wipping the chairs off. They did the ceremony and as soon as the reception was over that night it started pouring. They had a back up plan of doing it insdie if it rained so I guess as long as you have a backup plan and know shiit can happen its not the end of the world.

We're planning an outdoor wedding, but it's always good to have a Plan B, even if its as basic as having your ceremony in your reception space.

I am having an outdoor wedding but my venue has backup plans. It is a pavilion, but it can be inclosed if necssary.

We're going to have an outdoor ceremony and possibly an outdoor reception too. However, we do have a backup plan in case the weather is bad. We would move ceremony and/or reception inside if need-be. Most venues have a back up plan - be sure to check on this before booking anything!
